Born and raised in Melbourne, Genevieve moved to the UK to study at the London School of Musical Theatre. Graduating in 2014, her works whilst studying included the title role in Violet at the Bridewell Theatre, Martine (RSVP ASAP), Annie (The Faith Machine), Rose (Ruddigore) and Rosalind (As You Like It).
Genevieve made her professional debut playing Johanna in Sweeney Todd at the Twickenham theatre, which won the 2015 What’s On Stage Award for Best Off-West End Production.
Since returning to live in Australia, Genevieve has performed in the Australian International Opera Company’s La Traviata; and in Sing On Through Tomorrow, a musical review by acclaimed Australian composer Matthew Lee Robinson. Following this, she played the central role of Clara in the Life Like Company’s production of The Light in the Piazza.
In 2016, Genevieve was awarded the Melbourne’s East End Theatre District Artist Development Award at the Rob Guest Endowment Grand Final Concert.
Genevieve made her Production Company debut as Fiona in Brigadoon in 2017 and was nominated for best Leading Actress in a Musical at the Greenroom Awards.
Works following this included Eliza Doolittle in the Australian Shakespeare Company’s production of Pygmalion and Miss Phoebe D’ysquith in the Australian Premiere of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder with the Production Company.
Genevieve is honoured to be singing with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and is delighted to be sharing her love of Musical Theatre this evening.
