The Canberra Symphony Orchestra has a strong connection with and commitment to nurturing a love of music in young people.

We work closely with the ANU School of Music and offer scholarships to their talented students which gives unparalleled opportunities for practice and performance experience alongside some of Australia's top professional conductors and musicians.

The CSO also engages the younger community with the annual SYMPHONY FOR KIDS concerts geared towards children ages 3 to 8. These are extremely popular performances both with parents and children from the general public as well as with school groups for whom we hold special school concerts.  For further information, please go to the SYMPHONY FOR KIDS page.

Beginning in September 2007, the CSO is delighted to have presented the first of our NOTEWORTHY concerts, an in-schools music education program made possible by the generous support of the Macquarie Bank Foundation. NOTEWORTHY is a series of interactive concerts designed for particular student groups - Grades 4 to 6, Grades 7 to 10 and Grades 11 to 12. Please go to the NOTEWORTHY page for more information.
