Victoria Lambourn - mezzo soprano

Brisbane born Victoria Lambourn studied at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (with Honours), a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance and a Master of Music in Performance. In Manchester she was sponsored by the Peter Moores Foundation and was a scholarship winner in the 2005 Australian Music Foundation Awards.


Victoria’s performance in the title role of La Cenerentola for the RNCM led to an invitation to participate in the 2005 Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro (Italy). Whilst in England, she was frequently invited to perform as the alto soloist in oratorios and masses. 

Other performances include: Mossolov’s Children’s Songs and Newspaper Announcements with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Ensemble 10/10; the first siren in The Diary of the One Who Disappeared with the Hallé Orchestra; Wolf’s Italienisches Liederbuch for the Young Musicians’ Festival in Halifax; and Mahler’s Symphony no.4 with the RNCM Symphony Orchestra. 

In 2004, she was invited to Macau (China) to perform as a soloist in Schubert’s Mass in A flat.
 

In 2007 Victoria was a Young Artist with Opera Queensland. She performed the role of Hansel in Opera Queensland’s Schools Tour of Hansel and Gretel. 

Victoria is also a pianist, cellist and composer.
