Over 320 choristers from five of Canberra’s fantastic choirs join together for this magnificent concert.

Choir Director:
    Rowan Harvey-Martin

Canberra Choral Society - Peter Pocock, Musical Director
The Canberra Choral Society originated with a small group of people who began singing together in 1952. The Society now comprises about 90 auditioned singers and aims to present three major choral concerts per year as well as other musical events. The Society's repertoire is wide and the concerts offer a varied program encompassing all the traditional major choral works as well as modern and Australian pieces. The choir performs with local and interstate orchestras, small ensembles and a'cappella.

Canberra Youth Choir - Rodney Clancy, Conductor
The senior choir of Canberra Youth Music, CYC is for high school and college aged youth. With accompanist Anthony Smith they sing a variety of music ranging from classical, pop, folk, contemporary Australian, Medieval and Sacred.

The Llewellyn Choir - Rowan Harvey-Martin, Musical Director
Now in it’s 28th year, TLC performs the choral works of major and lesser known composers in about four major concerts and performances each year. The choir hires orchestras and soloists for its performances, offering a venue for performance by students at the ANU School of Music. The choir was known for many years as the "Canberra School of Music Community Choir" and it retains it’s foundations as a community choir, drawing from the community people who can sing and who like to sing.

Oriana Chorale - Rowan Harvey-Martin, Musical Director
The Oriana Chorale maintains a high reputation in Canberra and has won particular acclaim for its innovative programming. It has given the Australian première performances of several works and has featured in live broadcasts on ABC FM. The Chorale normally puts on three major concerts each year, often with associate artists, at a variety of venues around Canberra. Other engagements have included performances from time to time at the Australian War Memorial and at the memorial service in 2001 to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attacks in the US.

SCUNA - Jonathon Powles, Musical Director/Conductor
SCUNA is a non-auditioned choir which draws its membership from the students, staff, alumni and friends of the ANU and is also open to members of the general community. Founded in 1963, the choir has performed both lesser known and more familiar masterpieces of the choral repertoire.
