Each year since 2003, the CSO has worked with the Canberra Theatre Centre on the popular Symphony for Kids concerts as part of the Centre’s Playtime Season.
This concert is specifically designed for very young children as a first introduction to symphonic music. Each instrument and its sound is explained to audience members and conductor Ian McLean encourages the children to participate throughout the event.
Featuring selections of children’s favourite tunes, Symphony for Kids is a fun and lively concert which promotes expression and imagination through music. The CSO congratulates the Canberra Theatre Centre for its shared dedication to music for young people.
