CSO Giving Program
Play your part in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra!
Annual Giving and Planned Giving are directly responsible for strengthening the orchestra’s artistic achievement, now and in the future. More musicians, more rehearsals, more music – the full and glorious symphonic experience you love with the CSO needs your support to make it possible.
In 2009 the CSO established a capital account into which donations can be deposited to ensure permanency of your investment. We call it the LEGACY FUND and we consider this to be a significant milestone for CSO development. Donations over $4,000 go directly into this program and revenue generated by the interest from the Fund will support exciting future projects.
Every donation contributes towards securing your orchestra in Canberra. In recognition of the generous support given by our community, the CSO offer Giving Program Membership at these levels:
- Maestro Legacy Circle above $4000
- Principal Members $1000 to $3999
- Associate Members $500 to $999
- Supporting Members $100 to $499
- Contributing Members up to $99
To play your part in the CSO through our Giving Program, please contact our office on 02 6247 9191 or you can click here to go to our secure on-line Donations page. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and will be receipted.
Together we are creating the orchestra our city deserves.
About Planned Giving
Planning giving means contributing to a not-for-profit organisation such as the CSO, while gaining access to financial benefits for yourself or for your estate. This provides creative and tax-friendly ways to support the CSO in today’s challenging economic environment.
Depending on your situation, there are different ways to make a planned gift such as a bequest in your Will or through a Private Prescribed Fund (PPF).
Donations to the CSO through Planned Giving are secured in our Legacy Fund which preserves your donation while using the interest earned to help the CSO. In this way, your gift is able to keep giving and guarantee that future generations will benefit from your generosity.
Your financial advisor or solicitor can help you choose the option that works best for you to ensure you share your love of music to inspire others – now and in the future.
