Donations & Bequests
CSO Giving Program
Play your part in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra! Annual Giving and Planned Giving are directly responsible for supporting and strengthening the orchestra’s artistic achievement, now and in the future. More musicians, more rehearsals, more music — the full and glorious symphonic experience you love with the CSO needs your support to make it possible.
CSO ANNUAL GIVING PROGRAM
Donations are gratefully appreciated and all contributions over $2 are tax deductible. Each donor becomes a member of our Giving Program with those pledging over $100 receiving acknowledgement in our concert programmes.
To play your part, please direct enquiries to Isobel Griffin – Philanthropy & Giving Manager on 6247 9191
Chair Sponsorships
A lifetime commitment is required by musicians who choose to dedicate their lives to the performance of classical music at this level. The pursuit of perfection in performance requires unbelievable emotional fortitude, physical stamina, and tremendous innate talent.
We invite you to chat with us about supporting those efforts through a Chair Sponsorship. Join a musician on their journey to excellence, sit with them during a rehearsal, chat about the music or instrument you truly love and deeply enhance your symphonic experience.
CSO PLANNED GIVING
Will Power!
To help ensure the future of one of Australia's finest orchestras, consider making a Bequest to the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Planned giving means contributing to the CSO, while gaining access to financial benefits for yourself or for your estate. This provides creative and tax-friendly ways to support the CSO in today’s challenging economic environment.
Donations through Planned Giving are secured in our Legacy Fund which preserves your donation while using the interest earned to support the CSO's future projects. Therefore your contribution 'lives on forever' providing funds for such projects as the Emerging Artist Fund, the commissioning of new Australian works, education and community outreach programs.
Your financial advisor or solicitor can help you choose the option that works best for you to ensure you share your love of music and to inspire others — now and in the future.
Together we are creating the orchestra our city deserves.
HeartStrings
A program of social inclusion
For those who may be socially or geographically disadvantaged, the CSO can provide life-changing inspiration, a chance to see the beauty and possibilities that might otherwise elude them.
HeartStrings is an exciting new program which shares the generosity of community-minded donors by providing live concert experiences to our young and our not so young, and give them the chance to experience the magic and wonder of a live orchestral experience. This represents a unique opportunity to help educate, entertain and inspire.
We invite you talk to us about how you can support the HeartStrings project. Please direct enquiries to Isobel Griffin — Philanthropy & Giving Manager on 6247 9191
