Friends of the CSO
The Friends of the CSO was established in 1998 and currently has about 200 members. The aim of the Friends is to support the CSO in its mission to create and foster symphonic music of the highest quality.
The Friends support the CSO in the following ways:
- Providing support for an Orchestra Chair;
- Encouraging attendance at concerts through distributing publicity material;
- Holding events prior to concerts such as lunches and morning teas attended by the Conductor and/or Guest Soloist;
- Developing links with other Friends organisations in the ACT; and
- Producing a CSO Friends newsletter
Membership to the Friends of the CSO is open to all. Join us and be part of Canberra’s thriving music community.
Annual Membership fees are as follows:
- $40 for a single member
- $55 for household membership
- $30 concession
A discount of $5 is given where a member supplies an email address to reduce the cost of communication.
