Canberra Symphony Orchestra - Play on 1950–2010

2010 Season

Llewellyn Series Overview

The Canberra Symphony Orchestra’s flagship series, the St.George Corporate & Business Bank Llewellyn concerts bring you superb classical evenings throughout the year. For our 60th anniversary season, we have assembled fresh, exciting concert experiences that appeal to audiences of diverse backgrounds.

Highlights abound throughout the year. Some of the most exciting instrumentalists working in our country will perform with us — the CSO is particularly proud to showcase the virtuosity and artistry of these young Australians. The repertoire features some of the most beloved works of the orchestral literature: Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, Elgar’s glorious Enigma Variations — works by Brahms, Chopin, Rachmaninov — and Tchaikovsky’s incredibly personal Symphony No 4 is a work that cannot fail to awaken your most soulful inspirations.

A year of exuberant music-making awaits us all, and we invite you with the greatest pleasure to join us for a feast of enriching concert experiences with your Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
